1.// The Good Tarot cards by Colette Baron-Reid

The beautiful imagery of this deck will help inspire many readings. This deck is a bit different than most the traditional decks because of its structure. You will notice a deviation from the traditional card names in the major and minor arcana. For that reason this might not be the best deck for an absolute beginner. However, if you are looking for a tarot deck with the feel of an oracle, this might be a great option!

Pour a cup of this organic loose tea and try your hand at tassiomancy, or tea leaf reading! This would be a wonderful addition to a witches cupboard. 3.// Amethyst Star Spinning Merkaba Pendulum by Jet International

This pendulum would be great for divination, but also useful for Reiki or chakra balancing. Typically the Merkaba form is used in astral travel or meditation as a vessel for the spirit to travel with. This shape is directly linked to the flower of life, and sacred geometry. Perfect for beginners! This is a great starter pendulum which includes an amethyst stone and a 5 inch chain. Its basic, no frills and perfect for testing the waters to see if this is a divination method that clicks! This would be a perfect gift to add that one extra thing your package might be missing. 6.// Lapis Lazuli Rune Stone Set by TGS Gems

Lapis Lazuli is a stone that helps aid in divination and relates to our higher mind. This set of Elder Fulthark runes comes with its own bag and a small instruction book. It such a beautiful color, but it also has the correspondences with divination that make this set truly powerful.

This cup is so iconic! It’s simple design allows for no-nonsense divination. You can easily discern which sign relates to by its position in your cup. Along with this cup and saucer, this comes with a 200 page book about interpreting the signs you are likely to encounter.

If you’re not already journaling your tarot spreads, you should be! This notebook is set up for the common 3 card spread, which many of us use frequently. Love him or hate him, Aleister Crowley had made a huge impact on the occult during his life. This deck is non-traditional, using kabbalistic symbolism and reference to astrology. You will see lost of inspiring imagery. This deck is not recommended for someone just beginning their tarot journey, but someone who has a firm grasp on the basics and is ready for a more intuitive experience.


10.// Advanced Tarot Secrets by Dusty White

This book is a very helpful resource for folks looking to transition from personal readings into professional reading. It walks you through some more advanced techniques and helps you to recognize patterns in the cards for more accurate readings. While this book isn’t aimed at beginners, it could be useful to someone who understands the basic symbolism behind the cards. This book picks up where White’s earlier book left off, and leaves you with a more deep understanding of the journey of the Tarot.


11.// Motherpeace Round Tarot Deck by Karen Vogel and Vicki Noble

As one of the first round decks, this celebrates women’s culture through out history. Another non-traditional deck, don’t expect this to fall in line with other tarot. As a round deck it is a bit more difficult to shuffle, but you get a bit of added nuance. This is because the round cards add degrees of the issue, not just upright or reversed. Definitely not a deck but great for someone looking to replace the tired images of the RWS decks.


12.// Palm Reader Jewelry Stand by Kikkerland

This would look great on your altar, just saying. Its something that can provide visual reference for palm readings, hold jewelry, or just give things that witchy aesthetic. While this tool won’t teach you anything, it might be a fun addition to your space!


13.// Florida Water by Murray & Lanman

While not for divination explicitly, this Florida water smells amazing and can be used to freshen the energy in your space, or to help purify yourself before readings. This is an old school scent with floral notes of citrus and lavender and cloves.


14.// Black Obsidian Crystal Ball by Juvale

This would be perfect for scrying! If you are looking at getting into scrying but don’t want to use a mirror, this is a great choice. This ball is on the smaller side, at just over 3 inches. However it includes a stand and is under $20!


15.// The Fountain Tarot by Jason Gruhl

You may have spotted this deck in our weekly Tarot Tuesday posts! Its beautifully made with silver edging and a magnetic box. It also includes a guidebook and an extra card called the fountain. It does stick closely to the RWS interpretations, however the imagery is different. It features the beautiful paintings by Jonathan Saiz, which are mysterious and evocative. This is definitely a welcome addition to any tarot lover’s collection.


16.// Polyester Hanging Tapestry by Jeteven

Priced at less that $15, this would make a wonderful addition to a swap package. It measures just over 13x10 in. Its not huge, but would make an altar space really pop! It would also be prefect in a divination corner.


17.// Tea Leaf Reading by Dennis Fairchild

This mini-guide book would be perfect to put in your purse or backpack to bring with your for on the go reference. While it’s by no means a divination guide to tea leaf symbolism, its a fun and portable book that is definitely worth the price! This would go great in a tassiomancy gift set.
