As we move closer to Imbolc, one of our witches Sabbats, now is the time to lay plans for this year and get ready for spring. If you feel called to do so, please take a few deep breaths and allow your mind to settle onto a pile of cards. For our drawing today, we have two lodestones, a bobcat skull, and a piece of driftwood. The decks used are The Many Queens Tarot by Lettie Jane Renkamp, and a wooden deck made by Jane.jackalope.

1./// lodestones, the star reversed, ace of wands reversed

Lodestones, also known as magnetite, are great for manifesting. They bring in what we ask, as long as we keep feeding them. Like with all magick, there is a price to be paid. Keep things flowing by paying your dues, before you pay your rent. Don’t skimp when it comes to your desires, always give your best away and it will be abundantly returned to you.

The star reversed calls you to look at yourself & potentially take a step back. You may be feeling like your light has been drained, or that you’ve lost touch with your strengths. Your usual creative energy feels forced and lackluster. Don’t allow yourself to play the blame game. Accept the responsibility for your own life and feelings. Make the necessary steps to pull yourself away from what is causing you to feel this way. Help to nurture your muses by finding comfort in inspiring things. Get to your vision board (ok, pinterest!) and look for the spark that is missing in your life right now.

Ace of wands reversed is a similar vibe to the star reversed. Something has taken the wind out of your sails, and you feel drained. Maybe you’ve been pouring all your energy into a new idea or business and haven’t seen the returns yet. Maybe you feel like you are creating art for an audience of one. Whatever has got you disheartened, avoid looking at others success and accomplishments as inhibiting your own. The time will come, rarely the universe tells us “No”, usually its “not right now”. Trust that if you continue to put in the work, you will see the returns. There is no magick formula to make success happen over night, and usually when it does happen, it’s never how you imagined it would be. Let the universe figure out the details, and keep putting in the work.

2./// bobcat skull, the sun, knight of pentacles

Bobcats are fierce predators that unsettle any person who may be lucky enough to lay eyes upon them. They are masters of camouflage and are nearly silent while perusing their prey. When you have a bobcat on your side, expect loyalty, protection and cunning resourcefulness. Their energy embodies the necessary actions to manifest your own goals. Walk the walk, and don’t talk about it. Power is something that comes naturally. As soon as you try to force it to happen, you can kiss it good bye.

The sun is a very positive card, smiling down on your life as you ride into victory. It represents family and success, as well as the lightness that comes from accomplishing what you desire. Know that if you don’t have it already, it will be coming soon! Bask in the glow of the desire you feel! It is already yours, you just have to keep walking towards it. Keep the positive energy flowing and know that the universe is on your side.

The Knight of Pentacles encourages you to keep charging forward in pursuit of your vision. You have been putting in the hard work and are reaping the reward. Continue being goal driven, hard working and financially wise. Know that you are so very close to the next level, don’t give up! If you find yourself feeling a bit exhausted, look at all the markers of progress you have passed to get yourself to this point. You have worked so hard, and the payoff will be great! Keep walking the walk.

3./// driftwood, temperance, five of cups

Driftwood has been worn down by the tides of life, revealing the true grain and softness that only wood can offer. Strong enough to build with, but light enough to float. Let your true character be a product of life, and see challenges as waves etching away at the beauty your soul has to offer. Let the tides of life move as they will, and allow yourself to find treasure in the surrender that comes with this path.

Temperance asks you to seek balance and calm. Find whatever may be off by looking at places in your life that feel too heavy. How can you release this heavy energy into a place where its impetus will serve you? Think of a dam, and release this weight in order to make use of the energy and momentum. Direct it towards becoming in balance and your life will benefit. If you are unsure, look to the opposite feeling or situation for guidance.

The five of cups tells us that you have built up a significant amount of grief in your life. You may be looking at life in a way that seems overwhelmingly sad or full of loss. Know that this moment is very important and the lessons and emotions you are feeling will help to shape you. You are digging a well of emotion, dig deep so that one day it may hold just as much joy.
