paintbrush, six of swords rev., the high priestess rev.

This broad-brush can be used for so many beautiful projects; be it artwork, honey-do housework, or whatever your brain can imagine. It has the potential to change blank slates into reflections of your soul, or to paint over what no longer suits you; all you have to do it begin.

The 6 of swords reversed in a card that suggests deep personal struggle and transition. You are moving from one life to another new one. Sometimes it can be hard to let go of the old and live fully in the present. Know that the only place change is possible is in the moment you’re experiencing now. Don’t get caught up in the visions of the past, or the fear of what the future might hold. We have no control over that. Focus on what you can do now. That’s the only way to move forward.

The high priestess reversed means you have withdrawn from yourself, and your intuition. You might be scared of what your inner voice is telling you. Or maybe you’re just not sure if you can truly trust yourself. Stop isolating yourself from your guidance system. Trust your instinct and know that it will guide your hand during this period of transition. Trust the process. Even if you don’t know how it will work out, you have to take the necessary steps for the path to unfold. We all know life has many more twists and turns than we could ever imagine. Don’t expect to see the end of the path before you even start to walk down it.

goldenrod, eight of swords rev., ten of cups rev.

This humble plant, Goldenrod, is a powerhouse of healing and magick. It is said that drinking a tea of goldenrod helps to banish depression and sadness, and finding it growing near your doorstep will bring unexpected fortune. Its a plant that we see very often, however many don’t know how truly valuable its medicine can be. Think twice before passing it by.

The eight of swords reversed is a card that shows up in readings when you may be having self limiting beliefs. Perhaps you think you’re unable to accomplish your dreams, so you never try - creating a self fulfill prophecy. What is important to know, is that perception creates our reality. Whatever you believe about yourself or your situation, you are projecting into the world. If you can adjust your attitude towards that, you can accomplish anything! More than likely the reasons you have failed in the past are due to prematurely giving up or sacrificing your vision because you felt unworthy of it. Shift those limiting perceptions into a more accurate vision of the whole picture

The 10 of cups reversed usually means that you find yourself questioning your relationship harmony and what truly makes you happy. This could be a romantic relationship, a friendship or partnership, or even your relationship with self. Look at the situation from all perspectives and see how you can bring this back to a place that feels good to you. Are there certain things weighing heavily on your soul? Perhaps its time to practice forgiveness and let go of what weights your heart down.

jet, eight of cups rev., eight of pentacles

This black material is said to be the witches stone, because it is said that true jet will float on water, or sink very slowly. Jet provides strong protection against psychic attack and makes a great conduit for energy, as its actually a form of coal. It provides strong connections with the earth and corresponds to the root chakra.

The eight of cups reversed is a card of making decisions and walking away from situations that no longer connect to your soul’s purpose. It is sometimes so tough to face the choice of walking away, and often there is never a good time. However, consider the amount of life you will be missing out by continuing to walk down this path, and what it might take to get back on track. Any step in the right direction will save you headache down the road, even if it is a step sideways. Do what feels right, and don’t look back.

Pentacles is a suit of finances, and the eight of pentacles asks you to hone your craft. Focus on the work you need to do, even if its monotonous. Keep pushing yourself to get better and move forward. Do the work, hone your craft. Sink or swim, witches.
