Manifesting Financial Success: Herbal Correspondences in Money Magick.
One of the most popular types of spell craft is money manifestation. Life throws major curve balls and finances seem to be an area that is always hit hard! Luckily, there are several herbs that can be used to help increase prosperity and financial gain. Even if you are not hitting a rough patch in terms of finance, we could all use more money, right? Most of these herbs (and plants) can be grown in your own herb garden or found in your kitchen spice rack! Kitchen witchery is alive and well, so let’s discuss some of the greater and lesser known herbs with magickal correspondences to money.
Basil: Basil grows wonderfully in a container, although I can never seem to get mine to make it all the way through the winter, even when I bring it inside. Every spring I usually end up buying a new one. Alternatively, you can harvest seeds and start new plants that way. Basil is most potent if you harvest it before the plant flowers, which can make harvesting seeds a challenge. Higher potency before flowering is true for most herbs, although some herbs’ flowers are preferred for their flowers, such as lavender.
Mint: This herb and its association with money span many different magickal systems from traditional witchcraft to folk magick practices such as Conjure (or Hoodoo). You can use peppermint, spearmint or any of the numerous variations of mint there are in existence. An easy way to bring abundance into your home is by boiling mint leaves in water. You don’t need to boil long, a minute or two is good. Once it has cooled, strain it and use the water to wipe down the doors on your home. I recommend doing this AFTER performing a thorough cleansing on your house.
Agrimony: This is one of my favorite money draw herbs and one of the best kept secrets of the witchy world, in my opinion. I have had great success with adding this to any prosperity spells or money magick workings I have done. This can be purchased in some witchy stores, but I prefer to find someone who grows and harvests their own. It is usually less expensive, and you know where you are sourcing it from. Another bonus to that is you are supporting a small business!
Pumpkin Pie Spice: WITCHY HACK ALERT!! Okay, I added this in before getting into the next few herbs listed because most pumpkin pie spice mixes contain them all. The best part is, that you can buy it in the spice section of the grocery store for a few bucks. If you are on a budget or need a quick fix, pumpkin pie spice has everything you need to throw together an amazing money oil or to dress a candle with! I have added an asterisk next to every herb that is included in most pumpkin pie spice recipes.
*Cinnamon: Not only is cinnamon great for attracting money into your life, but it will also “heat up” the spell and speed up the process!
*Allspice: This savory herb is great for attracting money, but it is also great for bringing success to a business or luck to a gambler. Adding allspice into a gambler’s mojo hand is very common.
*Nutmeg: You can use this herb ground up in powder form, or you can use the entire nutmeg. Carry one in your pocket or even throw it in a mojo bag or a jar spell. The possibilities are endless. Like the aforementioned allspice, nutmeg is said to bring luck and success in gambling.
*Cloves: One of my favorite uses for whole cloves is to stick it into the wax of a candle I plan to use for a candle magick spell. It works ground up as well, but there’s something very potent about it in its whole form. Another great use for cloves is to help alleviate tooth pain. This won’t taste good, but if you put a few drops directly on the point of pain, the discomfort should subside within a few minutes.
*Ginger: Ginger is a powerful amplifier herb to add to any money magick working. Think of it as adding a turbo boost to your money spells. Ginger is a twofer of sorts, as it will have the same effect on love spells.
Five Finger Grass (Cinquefoil): Ah, five finger grass! This herb can be used in money spells AND protection spells. It works great as one of the main ingredients in prosperity floor washes, and money attraction spiritual bath mixes. Another great alternative is to add a piece of the plant into your wallet and carry it around with you.
Money Tree: Yes, that’s right, a good old-fashioned money tree. The official name for this tree is Guiana Chestnut, or Pachira. It comes from South America and is easily recognized by its braided trunk and long leaves. You can purchase this ornate little tree at many nurseries and some larger hardware stores. I bought mine at Home Depot. When you repot your plant at home, add a petition paper with your desires for money manifestation written on them. Fold the paper towards you and then add it to the bottom of the pot, planting the tree above it. As the tree grows and flourishes, so will your finances! Not only is it effective, it’s a beautiful addition to any home.
Master of the Woods: I am only going to touch on this one briefly because I have a video on my YouTube channel and on IGTV where I go into more detail about this herb. This is a commanding herb, as the name would imply it used to command, direct and control its intended target. It is also wonderful in money workings. These two components make this herb vital and unstoppable when used to manifest money!
There are a multitude of other herbs and plants who also have magickal correspondences to money manifestation, however, these 12 are my personal favorites. My hope is that everyone who read this learned something today.
