Tarot Tuesday: March 31, 2020

For this reading we have chosen mescal beans, a piece of driftwood, and a jasper wolf statue. The decks used are the Many Queens Tarot, the Alchemical Tarot, and a wooden deck made by Spirit.and.bones.
1./// mescal beans, death, 6 of wands, high priestess rx
Mescal beans were once used as a tool for shamanic journeys. They can bring a person into an alternative state of consciousness, into otherworldly realms. However they can be very dangerous to use, and sometimes even deadly. These rights were carried out by expert hands, who were able to safely guide others through the potential dangers. Eventually, a safer method was utilized from the peyote plant. Poison can cause great harm, but it can also heal.
Death is a card that is very misunderstood. Here is represent a symbolic death. An ego death that we must go through in order to reach our highest self. This card calls you to release your fears and embrace the unknown. Just because something is dark & scary, does not mean it is automatically harmful. Death is just another door way, and no one truly knows what lies on the other side, but we will all find out one day. Find comfort in that fact. Once you are able to embrace the finality of life, and how fleeting moments can be, you can truly live your life in the now.
The six of wands is a card that shows competence in your skills to this point. The glyphs under the main character’s feet represent honor, respect, & good work. This is a sign that you are walking a path that in righteous and in line with your life’s work. Your goals may be lofty, but if you continue to work hard, you will achieve them. This card depicts a master craftsperson, utilizing their abilities.
High Priestess reversed call you to nurture you inner self. Embrace your power and let go of the self critical inner monologue. You may feel as though you are missing some critical information along your path, and that things may not be as they seem. Through your journey you are learning to see with new eyes. They are becoming unclouded and your cycle is almost complete. See what you are truly seeking and ask yourself is you actually need another person to illuminate your way. You may find that your feet find their own path through intuition and personal experience.

Driftwood gains it beauty through its wear by the ocean. We appreciate it for its soft nature, being worn in ways that expose the grain and growth patterns. Water is a force that can be embracing but also smothering. Such as emotions. Our path is never straightforward, but full of ebbs and flows just like the tides. Once we learn to float on top of these tides, instead of sinking, we can complete our journey through the waves. Grief is non-linear. Never expected. During times of great upheaval, we are able to touch some of the deepest parts of our self. It is ok to not be whole. It is ok to feel lost. Just know that there will be a time where you will look back on this pain, and it will be distant.
Strength is a card similar to the chariot. It relates to overcoming a struggle. Only through persistence are we able to come out victorious. Inner daemons come and go. They sometimes seem like unscalable mountains or dangerous beasts. Now is the time to trust your guides and you personal strength. You are capable. You are powerful. Make these hardships into diamonds and soul fire. You will be victorious.
The knight of coins is seen ready for battle. The shield is charged and this card is here to let you know the gods are on your side. We see a depiction of a person with all the necessary implements to be victorious. Protect your health, and your wealth. Battle is just beginning. Utilize the tools you posses and be proactive instead of reactive.
The world reversed represents the current state of humanity right now. All the things we use to take for granted have disappeared in an instant. Our society is on the brink of chaos and it is hard to know what the next day will hold for many. It is ok to grieve for what has been lost, and what is yet to come. Do not give in to the fear of the unknown. The world may be spinning right now, but we are all in this together. We will get through this.

Jasper is a stone that protects the home and those who live there. The wolf totem is loyal to the pack, and provides fierce protection against danger. Through our connections with the ones we love, we are able to become much stronger than we would be alone. Protect those you love. Check in with your people. Stay safe.
The six of pentacles is a card that represents giving, and when reversed is can be a sign of selfishness, one sided generosity and poor decisions. Sometimes its the little acts of generosity that can add up the most. Staying home instead of going out. Helping your neighborhood and your elders. Remember those who might be forgotten or overlooked. Don’t allow your fear to make your decisions for you.
The ace of swords depicts a serpent rising up the blade of an upright sword. This can represent the pursuit of knowledge, the kundalini, or even the symbol for health. Here is represents a global awakening to knowledge and truth. We are able to fight the battle over fear, allowing our hearts and humanity to shine.
The Chariot is a message telling us that we will ride to victory over our problems. Right now the world is facing some of the most troubling times of the century. this is unmasking some of our deepest shadows, but it is also unveiling a new potential future for humanity. Things may seem dark now, but focus on the light. Look for the helpers, and continue to fight in spite of the fear. The gods are here making us aware that we are all in this together. Now is the time to act collectively for our highest and greatest good.
