Tarot Tuesday Reveal: June 30

July 02, 2020 by Witch Swap

Welcome back to another weekly collective reading! Hope this week is treating you well. If you feel called to do so, take a couple of deep breaths and allow your mind to come to rest on a pile of cards that resonates with you most. After you’ve decided, scroll down and see your cards! As with most collective readings, this is a broad spectrum of people we read for. If you find that something doesn’t apply to you, it probably was meant for someone else. Take everything in with a grain of salt.

This week we have a selenite wand, a hammer, and a wild turkey feather (these seem to be a trend lately, huh?). the decks used are the Hardy Tarot and the Waite Smith deck.

Be sure to let us know if this reading resonates with you!! We love to hear your feedback.

1.///selenite wand, sun rx, two of wands rx

Most of us use selenite for its cleansing properties. Its said to be a stone that doesn’t need cleansing itself because of what its made from- a form of salt. Its silver luminescence it what earned its name, after our dear Luna & the Goddess Selene. In tarot the moon represents our hidden fears and insecurities. Its interesting the duality that exists here in a stone who has the property to remove negative energy while being named after something which connotes shadows and unconscious thought, which are sometimes related to darker energy. The moon is such a beautiful representation of duality. We see her cycle through the dark and light times of the month, embracing her shades of dark and light. She reminds us that we don’t have to be wholly dark or light- even when it may appear so outwardly. There is always a dark side of the moon. Everything exists in balance and perfect harmony. Darkness is just the shadow of light. We see our reflections in shadows and they are a representation of ourselves as much as our physical bodies are.

The sun reversed also comes to play here with shadow self. If one were to think of the opposite of the sun, either darkness or the moon would come to mind. Our shadow, when dominant, leads us to places that may feel scary and uncertain. It reminds of the things we dislike about our waking self and projects those things onto the world around us. Darkness doesn’t have to be scary, and it can expose patterns of behavior our conscious mind cannot see. This is done by the process of shadow work, and following the grooves of the mind to see where they lead us. Repeated thoughts and behaviors wear pathways, like trails, through our brain. Shadow work allows us access to these trails and leads us to the path of knowing and accepting our truest self. Just like the moon is not bad when its dark, you mind is the same way. It exists in perfect balance with the universe, all you have to do is stop denying yourself. You are whole in spite of what phase you may be experiencing right now.

The two of wands reversed depicts a human holding the world, overlooking a landscape from the perspective of a castle keep. When reversed, this card gives vibes of instability. If someone were to turn your whole situation on its head, what would happen? Likely you’d drop the ball (globe/world) and be knocked from your protected place of stability. We don’t always have control over our situation and what happens to us. However, we do have control over our inward state, which will then be reflected in our outer state. What I mean to say is that when we are able to find calmness in chaos, the chaos becomes calm. Basic principals of hermeticism come to play here. As within, so without. Look to your situation now, and understand that this is a manifestation of what is going on inside of yourself. You are facing this because you have something to heal or to learn. Look directly at the suffering, and you will also see the solution. Look for the shadows.

2.///hammer, knight of wands, page of swords rx

This old hammer has definitely seen its tour of duty. The head is barely held on with some old worn duct tape. To me there is something really poetic about the tools that have become so worn down that they hardly function. It means they’ve worked well, and have served their purpose. How beautiful is it that someone has used this implement to the point where its usefulness has run out. A much better alternative to something coveted and kept from use to preserve its potential. I find that a lot of times potential is a lot more enjoyable than action, because it can’t be spoiled by reality. However, this is a trap. Its like living in an echo chamber, where the only voice is yours. its a very limiting perspective because it allows no room for expansion. Your voice just reverberates into oblivion instead of being amplified, it just gets lessened and disconnected. Action on the other hand allows for growth, collaboration and newness. Don’t allow yourself to become paralyzed by your potential. Don’t let fear of failure or damage force you into in action. Let yourself serve your function until the usefulness has run out and it’s time to move to something better.

Here we see a knight of wands raising his fist in the air, charging into action without a second thought. On the front lines there is rarely time for indecision, you must be swift and confident in the side you’ve chosen. Allow your passion to fuel you and point the direction in your life. Wildly chase your bliss without regrets. Enjoy the energy of living life in the moment, without worries or cares from the future or past. Once you can celebrate the bliss of the moment of now, you can truly celebrate life.

The page of swords reversed is a mirror card to the knight of wands. It represents inaction, delay and hesitation. Here I think this card serves as a warning to not fall into this pattern of behavior. Once you allow yourself to fall out of action its incredibly difficult to regain momentum. If you do need a break, slow your momentum don’t stop.

3.///turkey feather, 10 of discs rx, queen of swords rx

Turkeys relate to dream work, ancestors, abundance, and cunning. They have incredible perception and are able to evade danger in so many ways. This bird was considered so important in a historical perspective, it was almost made our national bird. As a bird they are able to traverse the gateways between worlds, exploring the underworld. Their energy is wonderful for those trying to access other realms because of their protective nature as well.

The ten of pentacles is normally a card of success and abundance, but when reversed it means the opposite. It can indicate an inability to save money, failing business plans, or even a spouse or family not living within their means. The constant desire for money can sometimes leave us feeling like we can never get enough. We reach out for material possessions in hopes to prove our wealthy status, only to have those things further trap us in debt. To address this, it is important to look inward for the true cause of the unhappiness. Once we attach our worth or mental state to outside sources, we give up our power and control over our autonomy. Then we ride the highs and lows of financial success and material gain, always seeking out more high points. We end up becoming a slave to our desires. Once you can find a feeling of abundance inside yourself, you will never feel unhappy or lacking. Don’t get me wrong- its great to have goals and desires. They can help us progress forward in life and feel fulfilled. However, money is never an indicator of happiness, don’t confuse financial worth with value as a person.

The queen of swords depicts a person who is sharp and able to make split decisions for the well being of everyone. When reversed, she can be full of judgement and irrational behavior. Some may find this energy very difficult to be around. This is a person who is on edge and not afraid to cut down those who oppose her. With people like this it is best to disengage, deescalate, and draw some strong boundaries. If you find yourself feeling quick tempered or full of judgement, this is a great time to dive deep and explore these feelings. Strong emotions like this tend to be rooted in unconscious wounds and can point us in the directions that need healing. People who cause us to become upset are usually a mirror into some of our own insecurities. Get yourself into a safe mental headspace and begin to journal about your feelings, asking why until you are able to get to the root cause. Treat yourself gently and know that everyone gets off center from time to time. Now that you’ve identified the behavior take steps forward in order to make things less toxic for yourself and those around you.
